This Saw is job rated. Perfectly Balanced, great price for a professional use.
My husband owned an older model for many years. But thanks to someone who thought they needed it more than we did, we had to replace it. We also bought this same saw for our son as a gift. We purchased these because of our past experice with this Makita saw
Its working fine , im really satisfied with the product !!!!!!!
my husband loved it!
Industrial strength and awesome!
Very good lots of power and easy to use. Came with a case which is very handy. Would recommend to anyone looking to buy a saw.
Bought this as a gift for my dad and he loved it. This was a definite upgrade from his old Makita saw that lasted a long time. The adjustments and on board Allen wrench are easy to use. Would recommend. Glad it has a case too.
Everything I expected!!!
A nice addition to my Makita tool collection. Very reliable
Best circular saw that I've ever owned. It cuts very clean. Also was searching for an American made product. I'd read that this was but couldn't verify it on the box. All others were made elsewhere.
only reason it got 4 is because i prefer the magnesium model (better fit in hand).I've also had the hammer drill /impact driver set for years with no problem batteries last forever, but to the person in the other review Makita is a Japanese company. batteries made in japan. the rest is made in china...
fast del great price One of the best saws I have used. I dont understade why I have to enter a email address at the end of survey ovbiously you have my email ad allready
I bought this to replace an older saw that was not nearly the quality of this Makita. I put it to use on a fence project and I was amazed at how much easier it was to work with than my old and cheaper saw. The Makita is powerful, cuts smoothly, and adjusts easily. I feel like I got my monies worth w...
I have the older model of this saw that I bought at HD, the 5007NB which is about 7 years old. If this new model is anything like the one I have, it's a winner. Nice aluminum base plate with a smooth operating motor. Cuts like a charm. Mine doesn't have the LED lights.
My dad owned a small hardware store and the only circular saw he bothered to stock was a Makita. He swore by them, and owned one himself. When it was time for me to get one of my own, naturally I went with this model and I must say it makes the circular saw I use at work feel like a piece of junk (w...
Great machine. I highly recommend it. I got this for Father's Day and I have used it ten times. It works like a charm.
This is my second Makita circular saw, which I would not have had to buy if the first one (which I purchased in 1989) had not "walked away." This is an extremely durable product, easy to change blades, I would definitely buy it again. Hopefully, this one will stay closer to home!
My husband loves the saw and I loved the entire process of buying the saw online.
This is my second one. Had the first for years and it served me well. It just couldn't handle Sandy (the storm) otherwise I'd still be using it.

Makita part number: 164095-8
Does this have a led light
No, this model does not have an LED light.
No LED light on this model
Thank you for your question. No, the 5007NK 7-1/4" Circular Saw is not equipped with a light.
No self respecting circular saw has a LED light. This unit is light free.
i see has "2 built-in LED lights illuminate the line of cut for increased accuracy". I take it ...
Correct it's a light only, not a laser.
Thank you for your question. The LED lights on the 5007F 7-1/4" Circular Saw are not lasers.
As far as it appears to me, not a laser...but very precise. I’m no pro, but in the years since my husband passed away, this is the ONLY circular saw I’ve felt comfortable using, especially during the stress of hurricane prep. I admit to a strong bias toward Makita generally—best I’ve ever worked with(:-)
I think the lights are just to illuminate your cut area in subdued light, I used mine outside in the sun so I didn’t even notice lights, l drew a line and cut with the guide on my line I drew and my cut was very straight, in all, I am satisfied with my purchase
