Nice comfortable grinder. Has good power, and is easy to change blades, and gaurd. Can stand straight on its battery which is nice. I highly recommend useing the 5ah batteries, they make the tool feel very balanced, great run time. You can run up to a 9ah battery but I wouldn't since it makes the to...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a big fan of the 20v DeWalt tools. I needed a portable grinder for miscellaneous work around the house. I bought this and have not been disappointed. It is durable and well built. I’ve used this for everything from cutting tile to stripp...
Like every other things DeWalt makes excellent quality..
I am a contractor and mainly use grinders for welds or short cuts. For a cordless grinder, this thing has some nut! Put a 5AH battery on it and it lasted alot longer then I thought it would. I love the toolless guard shift and the e brake gives me extra confidence that the tool will help protect me
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using most of times this grinder during my daily works as welder, I love the way it feel firm and powerful, combined with lightness and handiness. Also been using different grinder brands but none of them gave me the same feeling on te...
This is a beastly little grinder that is built tough and extremely portable. I use mine with the 4Ah battery, and it cuts through metal like nothing at all. It will also hold up to some very heavy grinding applications. Its super light, and balanced well in the hands as well. I love the non-slip...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very versatile and agile !! I’m very impressed with this grinder worth every buck :)
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned this tool for about 2 or 3 years, however long it has been out... Upgraded from the older brushed 20v version, and i like the paddle switch a lot better because it doesnt torque my wrist as bad when using one handed. I use this for...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second 20V Max grinder. I own the DCG412B as well. This one is longer, but I find that it is at last easier to hold, and better balanced. My favorite part is that it has a "soft" brake when you let off the paddle. It spins the wheel down...
Highly recommend the 5ah batteries with grinder well worth my upgrade from 18volt grinder. Better design and easier customer use.
I needed to trim some stainless steel guides in an area that had limited power outlets and having a battery powered cut-off tool was perfect. I was worried that it would not be powerful enough to do the job but there was no problem. Great purchase.
All the tools you need in 1 nice box
love the tools and the power and ease of no chord. my only small note is that the flex battery does not last as long as I thought it would. In cold weather especially the battery seems to work about the same as a 4 amp hour xr battery. on the whole dewalt cordless tools have exceeded my expectatio...
Great value for the money.
My husband has only used the drill a few times and it no longer works. I just gave it to him on Christmas, it hasn't even lasted a month!
Durable tools, good battery life, have used dewalt for years, and there assembled in America, win win
One of the buckles on the case broke off
I was looking for a small Dewalt Li. Charger. This one is good for tight spaces or over the wall, and its very efficient charging the batteries. The battery included was a little bit larger than the ones i already have so i had to remove the metal hanger from the drill in order to use the new batte
Does what I need when I need it
Questions & Answers
What is the amp output of this tool??
This is a cordless tool. We do not specify a amp rating for our cordless tools.
Since this is cordless, it will not have an amp rating.
The "DeWaltProductExpert" who answered your question is actually incorrect. In the "Product Overview" section of the FlexVolt grinder, DeWalt claims, "[The FlexVolt grinder] delivers 13 Amp power as compared to the D28144N." For reference, the D28144N was a corded 6" grinder that had the same arbor size and was ran at 13 Amps. So DeWalt does market *equivalent* amp ratings for its cordless products, assumedly when it benefits their marketing goals (like any other company). Just wanted to clarify this. So with that said, my estimate is that the equivalent Amp output for the 20V MAX XR would be sub-10. I have absolutely ZERO data to back that up, but the FlexVolt line is highly capable of extracting the full potential of the 60V power packs - it's definitely an awesome system.
Is this case a hard-sided molded case or a bag? What are dimensions of case? Also, are the space...
The case that is included is a TOUGHSYSTEM case.
This case is a molded hard side case. DIMENSIONS = HEIGHT 38-7/8 IN LENGTH 23-3/8 IN WIDTH 18-3/4 IN There are no spaces molded for the tools. It's just a empty box on the inside of it. Nothing inside the box to help secure the tools.
This is the tough system rolling box its a 22 inch setup like most Rigid etc Milwaulkee etc .. No spaces molded tools bang in box clank clank
