I am a DIYer. I have had this tool for about a year, and I use it for general automotive maintenance and repair. This, combined with a Lisle impact socket designed to remove a crankshaft bolt on a Honda Accord, made the job easier. I have also used this to loosen rusted on suspension components when...
This impact gun was the best tool that I ever bought. Please send me a gift card to buy tools or some real good coupons. THANK YOU
Haven't had it long, so can't attest to its durability or lifespan, but (out of the box), it busted loose lug nuts on a Peterbilt tractor (put on with a 1-inch gun). With regular lubrication and general care, I have no reason to believe it won't live the average life of a 1/2inch impact. Great price...
Works as expected. Great quality. Would recommend.
This product is misleading. It doesn't achieve the stated 1190 ft. lbs of torque as stated. I used a 3/8 air hose at 150 psi, 12 ft long. Disappointed.
Very good tool. Very good buy from HD. Some other sources were charging twice as much.
I have own other impact guns from snap-on, blue point, IR, and mac. Love the power that the nitrocat has and a lot quieter than others. Very happy with my purchase
It works better than expected
An excellent air gun, very strong,I’m impressed,I recommend it.

See priceThe Product Overview says 1295 ft. lb. of loosening torque, but the specs section says 900 ft. - ...
D- You are correct in you last statement. The 900 ft-lb. is the Maximum torque output and the 1295 ft-lb is the breakaway torque. Hence it will break a bolt loose that was tightened to 1295 ft-lb.
The 900 is for tightening the 1295 is for loosening.
Yes it is describing the two different orientations. This will only tighten down to 900 ft-lbs, but can loosen at up to 1295 ft-lbs. This is how the gears/teeth in the wrench operate.

See priceWhy does the specification section say max torque of 900 ft lb and the product overview says 1295...
The max torque of this tool is rated at 900 Ft-Lbs. That's the maximum torque in a 10 second run time. The 1295 Ft-Lbs. is "Breakaway torque". This means that if a fastener is tightened to 1295 ft-lbs this tool will eventually break it loose. in the past, manufactures would only state Working Torque and Max torque for air tools. Now most companies will also state breakaway torque for impacts as that is the application that they are designed. To loosen a fastener..
Great tool, strong and quiet.
The 900 max would be the tightening torque, and 1250 is the max loosening torque. Bolts/nuts always take more torque to loosen than they were installed with, after they have set awhile.
This has both forward and reverse correct?
Yes, this model has a forward and reverse.
Yes. The tool has both forward and reverse
Yes
Yes but only has torque adjustments in forward
great product strong and will be buying a spare...
I purchased this Aircat impact gun for the guys at the plant I work in. They love it and it has plenty of torque! Great purchase!!
I work at a dealership where I'm always rotating tires/installing tires. Gun is strong, durable, and gets the job done. Just wonder how long it will last
I work in the automotive industry use the tool everyday. Its very quiet compared to most impacts. Has plenty of power. Anvil van be a little noisy but not too bad. Was sceptical at first never heard of the brand. But after buying and using the tool i will recommend it to anyone in the automotive fie...
Best impact wrench I got, used my co worker's who had the same one and wanted to get one. It's strong and love how light it is compare to my past one. Love the power of this gun
I used one if these in a garage before and it was out performing the 3/4 inch impact they had. I put a 1/2 inch hose on my compressor for more volume to the gun. It works great had no problem taking off old rusted nuts
The reviews are correct. Set this wrench up as the manufacturer recommends, direct connect to inlet, no quick connect, 8' hose to air supply, and it will loosen any bolt. Removed the drive pulley bolt on a Honda, and they are notorious for not breaking free. Runs fast and appears well made so far.
This impact wrench worked flawlessly removing rusted original shock bolts on the 2009 Nissan, I wish I would have bought this tool many years ago , saving me the cost of two ( so-so ) impact wrenches that could barely tighten the lug nut to 90 psi , Love it
Excellent impact for the price!
I own 2 other aircat tools and they both perform well. I'm a technician at a new car dealer and all my tools are used and abused on a daily basis this is an excellent but plenty of power and best of all not very noisy!
