Not as good as the 18V. Response time slower and constantly has to be reset.
I love it, for an electric nailer its light and powerful enough to to get the job done ...!
It's powerful and you don't have to lug out the Compressor
Have only used a few times, but worked better than expected. Easy to load and handle. Not impressed with the led light but also that was not a deal breaker.
Took it out of the box loaded it first test nail I went to put in came out the bottom of the gun which is plastic
This might be the best purchase I've ever made! It sets the nail perfect every time. I have had other name brands and this one by far is the best. It sets the nail in pine, mdf, every type of material I've used. I also recommend dewalt's framing gun! I will buy a Dewalt Brad nailer if the come out w...
I bought this because I wanted a cordless and air hose less nailer and I own most of the Dewalt 20 volt tools. Of course the only nails available for it were paslode and they did work, until it got below half of the nails used. Then it would start jamming and get worse the lower on nails it got. I t...
Finish carpenter for 29 years, best trim gun i have ever used
Terrific. Great for door casings and floor moldings. No hoses or compressors to drag around. Plenty of power and finesse to drive the nails just deep enough to not need to do much nail setting. Runs all day on one charge. I've gone through 3500 2.5 inch brads with no problems.

This nailer is impressive. It easily buried 1 1/4" nails in hard maple. The depth adjustment dial provides fine incremental changes in nail driving. The body housing has rubber pads strategically positioned so the nailer can be laid down without marring the plastic surface. The battery is light weig...
One charged battery and you are ready to work! No need to drag a hose or plug in a compressor! Great for field work where there are no outlets available or a CO2 cartridge and battery. The freedom of not being attached to something makes working much easier. The 20 volt battery allows you to shoot n...
I bought this to frame my house. It shoots 12s and 16s fine but jammed repeatedly using 8s. I actually took the first one back but 2nd one did the same thing. Could be cheap nails...too soft, but my pneumatic shoots them fine. Battery life is very good and re-charges quickly. The magazine has good a...
I needed to replace my bostitch nailer after breaking it. I already have several dewalt 20V tools and love them. So it made sense to go with this nailer. I had 1000 square feet of tongue and groove boards at my camp to put up. I absolutely hate having to lug around a heavy air compressor and hose. I...
I broke my older 18v dewalt nailer so I naturally got a new one. I was installing mirtec siding into 1/2 in plywood and it would consistently leave a 1/4-1/2 inch of the nail unsunk turned all the way up. The 10 yr old 18v was sinking the exact same nails an 1/8 under flush every time. I took it b...
Good nailer, just a little on the heavy side, but not as heavy as some other brands.
did not work
How do you make a product but make me buy your competitors nails.
Works great, lasts a long time.
None of your stores carry the nails for this gun in stock! How can you sell a nail gun and not stock the nails? I have talked with 2 store managers about this and it has still not been corrected.

Can a regular 20v Max battery be used with the XR Tools? What is the difference between the 20v M...
Yes, it can be used with this tool.
I believe the XR gives longer run time. All the 20 volt stuff works with any 20 volt battery.
I use the regular, smaller batteries when I need to recharge the larger XR battery. I works great.
Xr batts are latest L Ion specs and chipsets. to be honest I run non dewalt batteries Alot 6.0 and 9.0 Max not Flex. Ive those too but thats another convo.. All (20V max) Cross to ALL 20V max and XR Tools Period Brushless tools May offer a bit more runtime. Its well made motors and Batteries that can communicate with the tool system that MAXimize Run times and production .
I assume any dewalt 20v battery will work on this nailer, along with some generic brands too
What is the weight of this nailer?
The DCN660B weighs 5.2 LBS.
This product weighs 5.2 pounds.
About 8.1 lb of a 5 amp an hour battery. Similar to the gold standard Hitachi A 85 air nailer
what are the amp hours?
This battery is 2.0Ah.
The last number in the model number tells you the Ah. DCB202 is 2 Ah. DBC 203 is 3 Ah, DCB204 is 4 Ah and DCB205 is 5 Ah. This pack is thus 3 Ah. The 20 is obviously then referencing 20V.
At least 3 hours of constant use.
These are 2.0ah batteries.
15 min of continuous cutting through 2 inch stock.
I haven't used mine enough to tell for sure so far mi e is good
Is the DeWalt DCB203 (XR series 20V battery pack) compatible with the DeWalt DCS391B (circular sa...
Hi I Purchased this product as a back up for the Dewalt circular saw. The 20 V. Pack was more than adequate to power through the job. Very satisfied with its performance.
yes, but will not last as long as a larger battery, you don't want to have the saw stall in the middle of a cut.
Used right away and it had enough charge to start working on my project
DCB203 2.0Ah battery and the DCS391B circular saw √ also DCS356B oscillating multi-tool√ DCD771C2 drill/driver√ and DCD708C2 compact drill/driver√. I have no experience of the DCB204 battery pack.
Can this air nailer take straight nails, the website suggest straight DeWalt straight nails.
The DCN660 requires 1-1/4" to 2-1/2" 16 gauge 20-Degree stick angle nails.
It takes angled nails. HD doesn't stock the angled dewalt nails at my store(s). Use the Paslode 16 GA Angled nails.
No it only takes angled finish nails
This is not an air nailer, and it does not take straight nails. It takes 20deg 16ga nails
No, it will jam the gun. Better to buy the right ammo for the gun
This product weighs 5.2 pounds.
I bought this as a gift for my son-in-law who does remodeling. He hasn’t mentioned anything about it being too heavy.
5.2 pounds. https://www.dewalt.com/products/power-tools/nailers-and-staplers/finish-and-brad-nailers/20v-max-xr-16-ga-angled-finish-nailer--kit/dcn660d1
I’m 5’6” 130 lbs-the weight is acceptable.
A well built tool.
